Young Monk Hostel caters exclusively to adults (>18 years old), creating a vibrant community for backpackers and independent travelers. To preserve our distinctive social atmosphere, we maintain a strict age policy - guests under 18 years aren't permitted at either our Dharamkot or Jibhi locations, even when accompanied by guardians. For families traveling with children, we recommend seeking alternative hotel accommodations better suited to your needs as we reserve the right to deny admission to individuals who fall outside our target demographic. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.

Young Monk Hostel embraces a lean hospitality model centered on self-service. This no-frills approach allows us to offer quality accommodations at affordable prices while maintaining our pay-as-you-go system for amenities like locks, toiletry kits, and towels, which are available on our stores.

For online bookings, we accept a maximum of 6 people. Please note that for group bookings, we cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room. Any bookings found to exceed the limit of 6 individuals for a group will be immediately canceled with no refund.

Check-in time is from 13:00 PM to 11:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 11:00 PM, please inform us in advance; otherwise, your reservation may be marked as a no-show at 11:00 PM, and no check-in will be allowed after that time.

Check-out time is 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In case of delay extra charges will be applicable.

If you anticipate arriving late at night (after 11:00 PM) or early in the morning, please reserve the previous night to avoid waiting in the common area.

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and at the discretion of the management. We charge a minimal fee for this service. Please contact reception for current rates. Note that early check-in requests will not be considered before 7:00 AM.

Young Monk reserves all admission rights and prioritize guest safety. Management may take appropriate action following investigation of any inappropriate guest behavior.

All guests must complete check-in via the QID app (accessible by QR code at property, link sent via email before check-in and also the link is given in website). Every guest must present a Government of India approved photo ID (passport, Aadhar, driving license, or voter ID). Foreigners must show original passport and valid visa. Pakistani nationals require an additional residence permit from the Indian High Commission. PAN cards and student IDs are not accepted as valid identification.

Unmarried couples are allowed to book & stay at Young Monk.

Young Monk's linktr.ee resource is accessible after completing check-in through QID or by scanning the QR code at reception. Through this platform, guests can view our food menu, rental options, convenience store items, travel desk services, and upcoming events to enhance their stay.

Payment modes accepted at our hostels: Cash, Debit card, Credit card and UPIs.

All the booking will be made online from our website only with 100% Advance payment only. ​​

If the guest wishes to extend their stay at any hostel then availing a reservation will be subject to availability.

The room would be provided at the ongoing rates on the website and not as per the rates at which the previous booking was made.

We do not promote long term stay at our hostels & may cancel your bookings on our discretion.

The use of drugs and any form of substance abuse is strictly prohibited within the property premises and its vicinity.

All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.

All our hostels are CCTV enabled for safety, security, and checks/audits reasons.

Alcohol consumption is allowed on the premises, subject to the discretion of the property management and local laws. Please contact the property manager before your arrival to confirm the alcohol policy.

Guests are not permitted to bring outsiders into the rooms; guests are only allowed in the common areas and cafes.Visitor (Non-resident guests) timings: 10 AM to 8 PM only.

Hostel management shall not be held responsible for any loss of luggage or personal belongings. Guests shall make sure not to leave their belongings unattended at all times.

Meals aren’t included in the room tariff and it can be availed on a-la-carte basis at our in-house cafes. Cafe operations are seasonal, the same can be confirmed with the hostel reception at the time of check-in.

Food and drinks are not allowed in the rooms.

The use of cooking equipment inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.

Guests shall be liable for any damage except normal wear and tear to hostel assets. Guest shall keep the hostel room in good condition, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness.

Power backup is available only at select locations and not at all areas.

Silent hours are observed between 00:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Loud music and noisy conversations in patios, lobbies, dorms, and outside rooms are not appreciated.

In the case of misbehavior or illegal activities, the property reserves the right to cancel your booking on the spot without any refund.​​
